Gaining weight increases men’s colon-cancer risk March 21, 2009

Men who gain weight as they age have an increased risk of suffering from colon cancer, according to new research. In a study of more than 46,000 men between the ages of 40 and 75 years old, researchers said nearly one third of all colon cancer diagnosed over an 18-year period were in men who had a body mass index (BMI) – a weight-to-height ratio widely used as a measure of being overweight or obese – greater than 22.5. Read more on this….
