This month, the 53-year-old author releases her third novel, The Disappeared, about a passionate affair between a Canadian and her Cambodian lover, set against the backdrop of Pol Pot’s killing fields. The book, published by Penguin Canada, got great buzz at last year’s Frankfurt Book Fair and has since sold in 16 foreign territories, including Spain, China, Greece, Romania, and Germany. According to Penguin rights and contracts director Lisa Rundle, the only other titles Penguin has sold in a larger number of territories are the popular Dreamhealer series of self-help tomes. “It’s highly unusual…. It is heart-warming to hear Captain Trevor Greene speaking so clearly on CBC television for the Remembrance Day ceremonies. In 2006 he was attacked in Afghanistan with an axe blow to his head. His wife Debbie was told by the neurosurgeons that Trevor has a “severe neurological

deficit” and was in a “persistent vegetative state”. The doctors indicated that they did not expect him to regain consciousness.

As stated in the Maclean’s magazine article last year, “The Reawakening of Capt. Greene”, this was when Debbie contacted Adam by email urgently requesting distant healing. While waiting at the lab for tests one day, I shared a journal entry with a lovely older man seated next to me. In anticipation of my next article, I had written,
We can never fully understand why things happen. Things happen for different reasons; reasons beyond our grasp; reasons perhaps unique to our soul’s code. For all of us, uncertainty is a reality of human life, but if we live in the apprehension of illness we surrender part of our lifetime to fear. November 8th at 1:15 PM (Vancouver time) the intentions of all in attendance (700) at the Vancouver workshop will be joined with intentions of thousands of people from around the globe. Together we will send our intentions to influence the brainwaves of Christine.

My 13 year old son, Kyle; our friend, Mark; and myself traveled from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to attend your motivating workshop in Seattle on Oct. 25th.   We found your presentation to be very empowering!  We were sitting in the front row in the left side section.  Kyle is in a wheelchair and was in the aisle.  You may also remember us because you let Kyle go first in line at 3:00PM to meet you and sign his copy of your DVD.

It was refreshing and inspiring for Kyle to learn leading edge energy medicine from a young man closer to his age.   I’ve taken him to two different other energy healers in the past, but your method and personality reached him and kept his attention strongly focused.  He has been practicing your visualizations nightly before drifting off to sleep like you suggested.
Kyle is in a wheelchair because of a heart and lung condition.  He was born with a hypo-plastic left ventricle that has over time developed into secondary pulmonary hypertension.  Even with his condition, he used to be a very active and popular honor student at his school.  He was a cub scout, on sports teams, and voted “student of the month” twice at his school.  Two and a half years ago, his condition worsened to the point that he couldn’t attend school because he felt low energy and had a few fainting spells.  I’ve been home schooling him since. He rarely likes to go out now.  His cardiologists control his condition with medications, but advise he undergo a heart or heart/lung transplant.  Kyle is strongly against doing that.

As his mother, I have been searching for alternatives.  I found out about you through the internet and bought your first two books earlier this year.  When I saw that you were coming to Seattle, I quickly registered us.  I am so glad I did, because you showed Kyle that he could do something himself to improve his health!  These energy healing principles are ideas I’ve been researching and sharing with Kyle, but he needed to hear it coming from you!  Since the workshop, his energy level has improved. He has been getting up out of his chair and walking a bit more through our house.  He has also been lifting free 5 lb weights at his chair to strengthen his upper body.
